There is a spinoff called Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day and we recently caught Krystle's wedding. If you are looking for over the top inspiration this is the episode for you. With a nearly unlimited budget her wedding was what most girls dream about. Held at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara the decadence was unbelievable.

I found Vantage Point's highlight video online of this wedding and I was blown away. Having been asked to film for TLC I am not surprised but I can say if you are in the market for a videographer, call them. They captured all the special moments of the day and focused on details that made the day special. They offer a variety of packages and have a lot of video posted online for reference. Enjoy!

How long should you date before you get engaged? How long should an engagement last? Sofia Vergara was recently asked on Chelsea Lately about her engagement and her answer surprised me. Her perspective is that an engagement is another period in your relationship. It does not automatically mean let's book the church.

I have to admit that my now husband had that same view on our engagement. He felt that there was no need to rush things. (Of course this drove me crazy as I couldn't wait to start planning our wedding.) We did however end up having a two year engagement, and it ended up being just fine. There was no need to rush things, we still got married, we were still together the whole time. I think planning a wedding is so much fun (who would have thought, right?) but for some people it isn't. There is family drama, money issues, scheduling conflicts. If you are struggling to make decisions and meet a short timeline maybe it is time to reconsider. America is very much about time saving and maximizing efficiency maybe we should spend more time enjoying our dating and engagement periods. The wedding will come and when it does you will get to enjoy the married part.
